Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect with a strong background in healthcare facility design and project management. This role will involve leading the design process, managing project teams, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring successful project execution from concept through completion. As a Senior Project Architect, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring junior staff, setting quality standards, and ensuring that projects align with our firm’s vision and client goals.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of architectural experience, with at least 4 years focused on healthcare facility design; prior project management experience required.
Licensure: Licensed Architect preferred, with active progress toward licensure considered for highly qualified candidates.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling software.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of healthcare codes, ADA guidelines, and building standards; familiarity with FGI Guidelines and hospital accreditation requirements.
Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and maintain client relationships.
Project Management: Proficiency in managing multiple projects and deadlines, with strong organizational and budget management skills.
Project Leadership: Lead the architectural design and project management of complex healthcare facilities, including medical offices, surgical centers, and other medical buildings.
Client & Consultant Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants, managing project expectations, schedules, and budgets.
Design Development: Oversee the design process, ensuring creative solutions that meet project requirements and regulations, while enhancing user experience and building functionality.
Construction Administration: Lead construction phase services, including site visits, construction observation, submittal review, RFI responses, and coordination with contractors to uphold design integrity.
Mentorship & Development: Mentor junior team members, provide guidance on technical and design issues, and foster a collaborative learning environment.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that design documentation, construction drawings, and project specifications are accurate, complete, and aligned with Breitner Architecture’s quality standards.
Code Compliance: Maintain a thorough knowledge of applicable codes and healthcare design standards, ensuring that all projects comply with FGI Guidelines and other relevant requirements.
